I’m not a big dessert person. And I’m most definitely not a baker. So the “no bake” option was what attracted me to this beauty. Once I read over the recipe it seemed easy enough so I figured why not give it a shot?
Laura Vitale’s No-Bake Nutella Cheesecake
I did make a few tweaks just to accommodate my personal taste.
For example:
- Since I’m not a baker, I don’t have a spring form pan so I cheated and used a graham cracker pie crust that I bought at the grocery store (thank you Keebler elves).
- For the ganache, I used Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet because I’m a milk chocolate girl.
- Instead of chopping up hazelnuts for the top of the cake, I chopped up macadamia nuts because I thought it would be a nice twist. And I like macadamia nuts better than hazelnuts, anyway.
Overall, I was really pleased with the results and will probably be making it again at some point in time.
